Federal Government Has Plan To Help Consumer Debt

The U.S. government has introduced two new programs that will offer $800 billion to help unfreeze the market for consumer debt. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said that this money is important to supporting and stabilizing the economy. The plan is to allow loans for mortgages to be cheaper so that more people will seek to have them.

Man Recieves Fine Of $873 Million For Spamming Facebook

A Canadian citizen has been given an $873 million fine this Friday for sending out 4 million spam e-mail messages to users on Facebook. This has been the largest sentence given to violators of the federal CAN-SPAM Act.

In March and April of this year Adam Guerbuez and his company would use Facebook login information that were taken through third parties and phishing schemes to send off spam ads for male enhancement drugs, marijuana, and sexually oriented materials to inboxes and the “Walls” of Facebook users. The messages appeared to people as if their friends had sent it to them - but they were actually placed by Guerbuez’ controlled autobots.
